Yoga has played an important role in my personal journey and a massive life change.
For me, yoga really clicked when I realized you don't have to fit into a certain mold to practice. I'd come from a very yoga-centric community where I never felt like "part of the club" when I went to yoga class. In my travels, I discovered so many different types of yogis and yoga styles, and learned that yoga is truly meant for every body, at every stage, and every level of experience and athleticism. I've learned that there is much more to yoga than the physical practice, and all 8 limbs of yoga have influenced my life and the work that I do.
After connecting deeply with my own practice in 2013, I landed in Barcelona to complete a 200-hour teacher training in hot vinyasa yoga. Once certified, I went on to lead classes at a retreat further south in Spain, where I gained valuable experience working with guests from all backgrounds and experience levels. While there, I also expanded my knowledge and experience with Yin and Restorative Yoga, which I continued to explore back in NYC.
I’ve been teaching since 2014. True to the balance represented in the yin yang symbol, I love to combine the yin styles (slow, calming, low energy) with yang (the hot, high energy stuff) to find both fluid movement and deep, meditative stretches.
